This week’s Breath of the Week is an Evening Wind Down practice titled An Unfurling, led by Brad Tunis. It’s designed to help you transition out of the day and into a softer, slower rhythm.
Brad’s signature blend of calm presence, simple breathing structures, and poetic imagery offers a gentle but effective way to unwind the body and reset the nervous system.
What to Expect:
- A short body scan to invite softness
- Long, slow nose-to-mouth breaths with pursed lips
- The imagery of a clenched fist unfurling on the exhale
- Connected nasal breathing (30 breaths)
- Triangle breathing and box breath sequences
- A playful loop-de-loop breath (double inhale, soft release)
- Resonant breathing to finish — smooth, balanced, quiet
- A guided moment of stillness and ease to end
This is a beautiful practice to do before bed, after a long day, or any time you need to release and return to your body.
“Unfurled. Yes… that was the intention.”
