This week’s Breath of the Week is a poetic and spacious journey with OBC co-founder Luke Wientzen. It’s called Pause of Peace in Refreshing Ease, and that’s exactly what it invites you into — a pause within the breath, within the body, and within the heart.
This is a quiet practice that reminds us we don’t always need to do more — sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is pause and listen.
Practice Overview:
- Centering awareness in the heart
- 3 physiological sighs to open the body
- Funnel breath: inhale down from the top, exhale up from the base
- “Cylinder breath” — top and bottom mirror one another
- 30 connected breaths through the nose
- Gentle breath holds and guided reflection
- Final soft, poetic guidance to return you to your day with a sense of internal spaciousness
Luke’s invitation is to breathe as though your entire torso is a listening chamber, to find stillness between the movement, and to allow the breath to take you back to the place where you begin — right now.
“Pause in the space of you… and carry that pause with you as you go.”
