Luke and Reis connected through breathwork in July 2016 when Luke guided Reis through his first session. Since then, they’ve collaborated to build OBC, merging Luke’s 18 years of special education teaching and 13 years in yoga, breath, and mindfulness with Reis’s deep dive into the science of breathing.
Beyond their enthusiasm for breathwork, they share a bond of mutual respect and admiration for one another. This supporting brotherhood and their complimentary specialties allow them to shine as individuals and partners, creating a unique and safe environment for others to heal and ultimately true life upgrade.
Luke Wientzen
Luke’s expertise in breathwork comes from extensive training with masters in various disciplines, including healing, physical well-being, and peak performance. He’s been deeply immersed in the Rebirthing Breathwork Method, along with the 15-year study of breath in classical yoga, which informs his understanding of its role in the human nervous system.
Beyond breath, Luke has trained with renowned masters in movement and energy arts, such as Tias Little, Richard Freeman, and Gabriel Halpern. He’s also a Zen practitioner, mentored by Henry Shukman, and has learned from heart-mind-presence-awareness-focused therapists like Riyaz Motan and Richard Moss.
With almost two decades as a public high school special education teacher and 15 years as a yoga, breath, and meditation teacher in San Diego County, Luke believes that experience is the most profound teacher. He invites you to explore the realms of breath, body, heart, and mind for a rich education within the human experience.
Reis Paluso
Seeking balance in a hectic world as a devoted husband, father of two young girls, and serial entrepreneur, Reis discovered breathwork through the transformative power of the Wim Hof Method. From there, he dove headfirst down the rabbit hole, studying under esteemed names like Kasper van der Meulen, Dan Brule, Jack Feldman, Jill Miller, and Brian Mackenzie.
Reis’s journey with breathwork has been nothing short of extraordinary. From conquering freezing mountains in shorts to managing the demands of fatherhood and entrepreneurship, he has achieved remarkable feats. As a guide, facilitator, and student of breath, he shares his knowledge and helps others strengthen their connection to themselves using simple yet profound tools.
His expertise has been sought by organizations such as the San Diego Padres, Vuori, and Lululemon, as well as private training with All-Star MLB players, Olympic medalists, and military personnel. Reis invites us to explore our potential and embrace the full spectrum of the human experience through breath and balance.
